Mugove Manjengwa

Mugove Manjengwa came from Zimbabwe to Canada as a student and studied a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia. After working for a few years as a registered nurse in Halifax, she moved to the USA for graduate school and graduated with a Masters in Nursing Administration/Population Health from Xavier University.

Mugove is passionate about public health issues and has been working at the provincial government level in drafting policy and guidance on the management of communicable diseases in Alberta. This experience culminated in her being selected to be part of the COVID-19 Emergency Operating Committee that managed the COVID-19 pandemic in Alberta. Mugove is a wife and mother to a 9 yr old son.

Mugove enjoys travelling, music and baking. She is looking forward to the opportunity to volunteer on the LIFF board and use some of her skills and experience to make the lives of women and children in Alberta better.
